Nigel Barnett is a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven track record of building and scaling successful businesses. After founding Home Telecom in 2010, he rapidly positioned it as the preferred supplier for over 4,000 letting and estate agents.

He later established Telecom Acquisitions to accelerate growth through strategic acquisitions, now overseeing seven brands and 24 customer bases. Under Nigel’s leadership, the business has expanded its alt-net partnerships giving 98% UK coverage for residential broadband, and delivered exceptional growth, including a 235% increase in organic online sales in 2024.

Carl Barnett is a highly experienced sales and business leader with over 15 years in the telecommunications sector. He was instrumental in founding Telecom Acquisitions Limited in January 2020, playing a pivotal role in shaping its strategic direction from the very beginning.

As a shareholder and Director, Carl remains a committed stakeholder in TAL’s journey, bringing deep commercial insight and a long-term belief in the company’s mission to grow a trusted, customer-first residential broadband business across the UK.

Fred joined TAL as Chief Financial Officer in October 2025, bringing over 20 years’ telecoms experience. He previously spent nine years as Group Finance Director at Bigblu Broadband PLC, ten years as Finance Director at Damovo UK Ltd, and one year as Finance Director at Global 4 Communications Ltd.

At TAL, Fred oversees all finance and HR functions, including reporting, collections, cash management, and organisational development, and works closely with senior management to drive the company’s growth and financial performance.

Derek Watson serves as Commercial Director at Telecom Acquisitions, where he oversees data infrastructure and the internal DevOps function. With a technical foundation in Anti-Submarine Warfare systems at GEC Marconi, Derek brings a unique blend of engineering expertise and commercial insight.

He co-founded Aurora in 1995, successfully scaling it into a £5 million business. Known for his forward-thinking approach and deep understanding of customer needs, Derek leads commercial strategy, innovation, and technical operations across the organisation.

Adrian Gill is a commercially driven non-executive director and advisor with extensive experience in estate agency and property services. He brings a strong track record in mergers and acquisitions, including leading the acquisition and turnaround of 320 loss-making estate agency branches from Royal Insurance into a business generating over £20 million in annual profits.

Adrian has also played a key role in major industry transactions, representing Connells’ 30% stake in Rightmove plc and its joint venture in Zoopla plc, both of which created billions in shareholder value.

Sasha Barnett is responsible for driving revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion across the business. In addition to leading sales, she oversees marketing, promotions, and customer loyalty and retention, managing four teams comprising 41 staff.

With a strong focus on innovation and customer experience, Sasha plays a pivotal role in delivering tailored broadband and utilities solutions, while continuing to strengthen partnerships with estate and letting agencies.
